My experience and values
Having moved to Norfolk from Cumbria when I was 18, I have been a professional gamekeeper for 15 years in various places including the Westwick Estate and Letheringsett. I live in Swanton Abbott, North Walsham, with my wife and children aged three and one.
But this is more than just a business for me: I have long nurtured a passion for preserving the balance of nature in my work. Wherever possible, I prefer to use traditional, organic methods (e.g. I would always prefer to trap a rat than use chemicals). As a keen birdwatcher and gundog trainer, I understand that when using rodenticides, for example, you have to take every care to prevent accidental poisonings.
